How To Manicure Your Hair Extensions and Wig's
Here at Code Blu we are fully committed to ensuring that every customer is satisfied with their hair investment. In order to achieve this, we are recommending the following hair maintenance tips:
• Always comb out your hair extensions before washing your hair, starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top of the hair, using a PADDLE BRUSH or WIDE TOOTH COMB.
*All bundles and are co-washed before we ship it to you
• Shampoo once a week or at least every other week to keep extensions fresh and in good standing.
*To remove heavy build use a deep clarifying shampoo, then go in with a moisturizing conditioner, rinse with cool-cold water always to lock and seal in the moisture. Let your wefts or wig air dry if its not attach to your hair.
• Use sulfate free shampoos and conditioners, which is very gentle to the hair. Tresśemme 7X Shampoo & 7X Moisture Conditioner works really really well on all of our hair extensions for an at home experience.
• When shampooing the hair, apply the shampoo starting at the roots then working your way in a downward finger combing motion to prevent tangling
• HAIR TREATMENTS: After shampoo, deep condition your hair for at least 10-20 minutes, cover in a plastic cap to lock the moisture in. For a Deeper Treatment place hair in a plastic cap under a hooded dryer or a heated cap for 15-30. Let it cool off for 5mins then rinse with cool-cold water.
• Be sure to always rinse your extensions thoroughly after both shampoo and conditioner to remove residue; however, be sure to rinse with cool-cold water after conditioning the hair to seal and lock in the moisture.
• For best results, ALWAYS AIR DRY your hair extensions rather than blow for healthier results.
* Avoid heavy products that contain a high ph level of alcohol because it's known to dull the luster of the your tresses and will become dry over-time.
• Although your extension are 100% human hair, unlike natural hair its is no longer receiving nutrients from the human scalp, therefore hair must be highly protected with the quality nourishing products to maintain its style.
*Since heat is your hair’s biggest enemy, use only when necessary. Be sure to use a heat protectant or protective serum before heat is applied to the strands to protect the hair from heat or sun damage.
* Sleeping on a SATIN or SILK pillowcase allows you to sleep freely without breakage or damage.
*When your hair extensions or wigs are not being used, we HIGHLY recommend you to store it some place safe, either in the silk or satin bag
